Meet The Coaches

Brian Theiss

Program Director

Coach Theiss has a life long passion for coaching Lacrosse. He began coaching while still in college and shortly after graduating from UCF with his BS in Education, he became the Varsity Head Coach at Winter Springs High School. In 2007, he became the Varsity Head Coach at his alma mater Lake Brantley High School. He is currently the Varsity Head Coach and teacher at Providence School in Jacksonville, Florida. Over the corse of his career, he has achieved over 200 Varsity game victories, coached many US Lacrosse All Americans and was proud to watch countless former players go on to compete at the collegiate level, including Division I Lacrosse programs. Brian has also coached with Team Florida, Florida Possums and JM24 Lacrosse Clubs. Off the field, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as biking and playing ice hockey in his free time.

Andy Butler

Andy has coached youth sports for 13 years. He is going into his 8th year coaching at Providence School as an assistant coach for JV and Varsity Lacrosse. He also assists Oh Yeah Lacrosse with the fall and summer programs. His primary coaching responsibilities focus on defense. He enjoys coaching student athletes while helping them develop leadership and life skills.

Sutshi Deverson

Sutshi was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and proudly says he is a product of our local lacrosse community. He played Varsity Lacrosse at Wolfson High School for 3 years and Collegiate Lacrosse at UNF. Currently, he is a midfielder for the Roadside Armadillos Men’s Lacrosse Club, a post-collegiate men’s league. His coaching career began at the Bolles school for 6 seasons and currently is the Middle School coach at Providence School. Coach Sutshi says, "lacrosse is more than just a sport for me. It’s a tool for me to teach about life and accomplishments. Oh Yeah!"
